Message from Mark Church, Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder

Welcome to the San Mateo County Elections website. I am honored and privileged to serve as your Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. I am committed to ensuring that our office continues its tradition of excellence and operates at a maximum level of efficiency and productivity.

Unlike the November 2015 All-Mailed Ballot Election, the June 2016 Presidential Primary Election is a traditional election with neighborhood polling places for most county residents. Voters will be assigned a specific polling place that will be indicated on the back cover of the Sample Ballot and Official Voter Information Pamphlet. Polling location information will be available online starting April 28. Voters signed up to Vote by Mail, and those who live in precincts with 250 or less voters, will be sent a Vote by Mail ballot with a postage paid return envelope.

Please use this website for easy access to the information and services that our office provides to the citizens of San Mateo County. I hope you find it a useful resource for election information.
