Vote on Saturday! Elections Office Opening Doors for Early Primary Voting
Vote on Jan. 26 or Feb. 2 in San Mateo or Redwood City and beat the Tsunami Tuesday crowds

Redwood City, CA –Redwood City, CA - The San Mateo County Elections Office will open its doors on Saturday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 2 for early voting for the Presidential Primary Election, making voting more convenient and allowing voters to avoid the anticipated Tsunami Tuesday crowds.
Universal Voting Centers at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo and 555 County Center in Redwood City will be open on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We know that people have busy lives or vacations planned, and sometimes a Saturday is a more convenient day to vote than a Tuesday,” said San Mateo County Chief Elections Officer Warren Slocum. “We also expect a high turnout at the polls on Feb. 5, and Saturday voting will give voters a chance to beat the crowds and ease worries about traffic, parking or making it to the polls on time.”
Voters who come on either Saturday can vote using our electronic eSlate voting devices or a paper ballot. They can also drop off a voted Vote-by-Mail ballot.

Voters can also use the Saturday hours to request a Vote by Mail ballot or make their ballot choice for the Democratic or American Independent party known if they are a Decline-to-State, Vote by Mail voter (the deadline for making either of these requests by mail or fax is Jan. 29).
Directions to both Elections Office locations are online at www.shapethefuture.org/contact.asp.

The Elections Office is normally open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Early voting may also be conducted at any time during business hours at either location through Feb. 5.
