Vote on Saturdays! -- Elections Offers Extended Hours

40 Tower Road, San Mateo or 555 County Center, Redwood City

(Redwood City, CA)  The San Mateo County Elections Offices will be open on Saturday, October 28th and Saturday, November 4th for voting.  “In order to make it more convenient for voters, we offer extended hours of service,” explained Warren Slocum, San Mateo County’s Chief Elections Officer.

“Voters can obtain an absentee ballot, drop off their already voted absentee ballot or vote on one of the new electronic eSlate voting devices,” said Slocum.

“We know that people have busy lives, vacations planned and sometimes a Saturday is a more convenient day to vote than a Tuesday.” The Election Offices will be open for voting from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm on both Saturdays prior to the Election.  They are located at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo and in the 1st Floor Office of the County Clerk at 555 County Center in Redwood City.  Voters can get online directions from the election website, www.shapethefuture.org in the “Contact Us” section.

Slocum encourages voters to vote early, avoid the lines and the rush hour times and vote when it’s convenient.
