Write-In Candidate Filing Opens Monday

Redwood City, CA –Warren Slocum, San Mateo County’s Chief Elections Officer, announced the filing period for write-in candidates for offices appearing on the November 7, 2006 ballot will open on Monday, September 11, 2006.  

Eligible persons desiring to declare write-in candidacy for federal, state, and local offices may file nomination documents with the Elections Office at 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, between Monday, September 11, 2006 and 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Please call the Filing Officer at (650) 312-5370 to schedule an appointment.
