This informative seminar will be held on Wednesday, July 12th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo. “This is an opportunity for any prospective candidate interested in running for office, or any voter simply interested in the election process, to meet with key elections staff and get answers to questions about the rules, deadlines, and procedures that apply to local candidates and campaigns,” said Chief Elections Officer, Warren Slocum. “There are important issues that candidates must consider before throwing their hat in the ring. Our Candidate Seminars help demystify the process and hopefully encourage interest in running for office.” The topics covered will include campaign finance reports, the filing process, candidate statements, important deadlines, voter registration, absentee voting, and various elections rules and regulations governing campaign activities.
