Slocum Issues Media Guide & Turnout Prediction for the 2006 Gubernatorial Primary Election.

(Redwood City, CA) - Chief Elections Officer Warren Slocum issued a comprehensive media guide for tomorrow’s June 6th Gubernatorial Primary.  “There’s something in here for everyone—statistics, procedures, the candidates and issues, special election programs, new election laws, new voting equipment, and more – it’s all in the Guide.” 

And for those that are interested in predictions, not just the facts, the Chief Elections Officer went on to say, “I believe we’ll have a 40-45% turnout, tomorrow, perhaps a bit higher.  We’ve received 47,524 voted Absentee Ballots to date, but we’ll have a much better idea tomorrow when we get the early precinct voting reports.”

The Media Guide and the election results will be posted on-line at www.shapethefuture.org with the first returns available shortly after 8:05pm.  Election Central, the election night gathering at 555 County Center in the Rotunda, is open to anyone interested in the election night returns, it begins at 8:00 pm.
