Write-In Candidate Filing Closes.

Two candidates qualify for write-in candidacy.

(Redwood City, CA) - Warren Slocum, San Mateo County's Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, announced that the write –in candidate filing period that began on April 10th, for offices scheduled at the June 6, 2006 Primary Election closed on, Tuesday, May 23rd at 5 PM.

For the offices on the June 6th ballot that file with the County Elections Office, there were two candidates that qualified for write-in candidacy. Stacie Nevares qualified as a write-in candidate for the office of Coroner, and Harland Harrison qualified as a write-in candidate in the Libertarian Party Primary for the 12th Congressional District.
