( Redwood City ) - Warren Slocum , San Mateo County’s Chief Elections Officer, issued a reminder to San Mateo County residents wishing to vote in the upcoming 2005 elections that they must re-register if they have changed their residence address, their name, or their political party affiliation.
“Every election cycle we work very hard to get the word out,” Slocum stated, “It is very important that voters keep their registration information current by filling out and submitting a new voter registration form to reflect any change in address, name, or political party affiliation.”
Voter registration forms are available at the Elections Offices at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo and 555 County Center, 1 st Floor in Redwood City . Citizens may also pick up voter registration forms at any post office, city hall, or public library.
For voters that reside in the City of San Carlos or the Brisbane School District, the deadline to register, or re-register to vote for the upcoming March 8 th special election is February 22, 2005. Voters may learn more about voter registration and the measures on the ballot in these jurisdictions by visiting the Elections Division web site at www.shapethefuture.com.
