Write-In Candidate Filing Now Open

 

( Redwood City ) - Warren Slocum, San Mateo County's Chief Elections Officer, announced today the opening of the write-in filing period for offices appearing on the ballot this November 2nd and the process for obtaining nominating documents for the local offices in San Mateo County.

Nomination documents for eligible persons desiring to declare write-in candidacy for any of the elective offices may be obtained from the office of the Registration- Election s Division, 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, 650.312.5222, on or after Tuesday, September 7, 2004 and must be filed not later than 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2004.

Notice is hereby given to all qualified persons that they may file for write-in candidacy papers for the elections to be held in the following school districts and special districts located in San Mateo County , State of California :

School District , Governing Board Members:

Cabrillo Unified School District; La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District; Ravenswood City School District; San Mateo County Board of Education, Trustee Areas 4, 6, and 7; and South San Francisco Unified School District

Special District, Board of Directors and Harbor Commissioners:

North Coast County Water District; Peninsula Health Care District; San Mateo County Harbor District; and Sequoia Healthcare District;
