Redwood City CA - San Mateo County's Chief Elections Officer, Warren Slocum, announced today that his office is staying open late for the close of voter registration for the upcoming March 2 nd Primary Election. Voter registration is closing on Tuesday, February 17, and Slocum reminds voters who have moved, wish to change their party affiliation, have changed their name, or otherwise have changed their voting status to come to one of his offices to complete the form in person, or get their voter registration form completed and post marked by that deadline.
"With such an important election approaching, our office is here to help eligible citizens register in order to participate in this Presidential Primary Election," said Slocum.
To make registering to vote a bit easier, Slocum has set special hours for the public to register and update their status.
