Between May 5th and June 3rd, any voter can go in person to the Election Offices at 40 Tower Road in San Mateo or 555 County Center (1st floor) in Redwood City, except holidays, for the Statewide Direct Primary Election. Q: What if I lose my vote by mail ballot?
Come into either of the Election Offices (above), fill out a form swearing that you lost it, and a new one will be issued to you for voting. Our records will be flagged to show that you’ve voted.

Poll Worker Pin Collection
One of the traditions established in 1998 by the San Mateo County Elections Office is to give every poll worker that serves in an election a commemorative election pin. Each election has its own distinctive pin. Some of our poll workers have earned the entire collection. (see the collection) If you would like to serve as a poll worker, you can sign up online. We need the help. You can serve the community and build your own election pin collection.
